The onboard on-screen-keyboard offers a lot of buttons.
Unfortunately, it does not work on Wayland, and X11 is going to be deprecated (and also, Wayland offers a lot of nice features on touchscreen devices, which X11 does not).
The on-screen-keyboards in wayland (such as maliit) does not have too many buttons
It does not come with tab or control buttons, which are often necessary to operate in a terminal.
How to either
- Run Onboard in Wayland?
- Add the additional keys (ctrl, tab and so on) to the existing Wayland keyboards such as maliit?
It would be nice to have a better on-screen-keyboard for Wayland that can completely replace a physical keyboard.
