Is there a way to somehow unify the appearance of icons in Dashboard, System Tray and in general?

I want to make all the icons in the same color, sort of in the monochrome style. I mean, for example, discord icon is blue, but I want it in another color.

I know I can change them manually, but I wouldn’t want to do that if there’s some kind of “make it beautiful” button.

I didn’t seem to find anything in the settings. A third-party application, or a script, or anything else will suit me.

If I can’t do that, then okay. But maybe I’m stupid and can’t find something because I don’t know.

I guess you could find a solution with panel colorizer.

It’s a third party widget that allow to completly control the look and feel of a panel.
Unfortunatly i’m not very experimented but i’m sure it’s at least possible to force a color to tray icons with this

Problem is that replacing those icons is not possible as developers usually don’t expose a customizable icon, see System Tray Icon Identifier Tool?

Panel Colorizer only recolor the icons, not perfect but better than nothing.

Actual icon replacement will be possible in a future version, see [Feature Request]: Replace icons in system tray · Issue #198 · luisbocanegra/plasma-panel-colorizer · GitHub

The best way to do this was GitHub - bilelmoussaoui/Hardcode-Tray: Fixes Hardcoded tray icons in Linux but is unmaintained.

The proper way to fix this is by applications allowing the icon to be replaced with a named icon from the theme, then one can just switch to a different icon theme or provide the specific icon, an example of such program is Steam. An example of a program that forces its own icon without named icon support is Discord.

Done, see Panel Colorizer for Plasma 6 - #49 by luisbocanegra seems to work well with everything for now except Element (matrix client) as it generates the icons dynamically resulting in small variations of the same icon on different computers/screens

Icons are from Papirus icon theme and I had to make a few extras for things like signal
