Project Bin - video won’t drag onto Track

Hi Members,

After importing a video clip into Kdenlive and then running transcode (as Kdenlive recommends) it will not drag onto the video track. The file has a little red caution circle (on the clip) when I attempt to drag it onto the timeline/track. It won’t go onto the track?

In fact, I suddenly realized that other clips in the project bin will not drag onto the timeline/track either. They did work before. Can anyone tell me what happened? All clips came from my iPhone into my Win10 laptop and were transcoded in Kdenlive. I already have successful clips from my iPhone on my timeline. What happened and how do I fix this please. Thank you all.

Do you have enough space in the timeline? Do you have a corresponding audio track available with enough space?

You are correct! I checked my tracks and I believe it was a matter of both ‘not enough room’ and ‘not enough audio tracks’ (my video clip has both video and audio on it).
I’m still learning Kdenlive and thank you for your kind help and prompt reply!

Is that red-caution-circle always displayed along with the clip(s) when dragging from the project bin? What does that red circle signify? Thank you.
