This Week in Plasma: Plasma 6.4 is nigh - KDE Blogs

It is!

I don’t remember when I discovered this but I have been using it at least since early Plasma 5, probably already during the 4 series.

It is currently not very discoverable but still very easy.
A newly plugged in projector seems to be “mirrored” by default so the only thing I usually need to do is change its resolution with the already present combobox.

I am not enough of an UX person to come up with something more obvious but maybe someone else will

*g*\ i have allready worked with an Translater for become more “neutral” *giggle* and not so override/upset in the tone, or how can i say that.. some unneeded infos disturbs without end, i have hear some very often in the last century(or longer), how ever.. moment, i have installed it already and check it out by writing this text …
short -systemsound-> change to Ocean → go to Sound-info → Sound-info-adjustment
I have there only a German Surface and try it to Translate

need Login-canceled , Error of a Application(so a crash), Install of a Miniprogramm failed,
Textcompetion (all 3 )

And then, the Programm-Sounds by side of the System-info-signals, right top, this all standard soundnames like Kruler → move.*
the whole Discover standart sounds and the other programms as example for be in able to make a soundpack where can name “from” .. the W2K,XP and W7 have i allreaddy bindinf in a 3 diffrent Soundthemes.. and it works very nice :] , i have w2k at moment hanged in
sounded great at start *bg*

but.. i need fully the other standart-sound-names.*
you can check it by self with the ocean -sound-theme what there still missing… as example
i have still installed the “Oxygen” and “Freedesktop” , they are also not fully and miss/lack also some standartnames for soundfiles..

best regards
Blacky

Reduced unnecessary CPU usage on System Monitor’s Processes page even more. (David Edmundson, link 1 and link 2)

This, all the other recent work performance work, plus the absolute banger of a re-designed Overview page, really add up to making System Monitor feel like a whole new-and-improved tool when compared to its state at the launch of Plasma 6.

If there are folks out there who use alternative tools because they found previous versions a bit awkward or sluggish on their devices, I’d encourage trying out System Monitor again with the upcoming Plasma 6.4 release
