I have been using KDE Plasma for 10 months now and something has been bothering me for quite some time. Whenever I have multiple windows of the same application open (usually the browser), when i hover the icon on the bottom panel / taskbar it cannot show all of the currently open windows:
When I have multiple windows of the same application open (usually browser), when I hover over the icon in the bottom panel/taskbar, there is a horizontal scroll bar to see all the windows that are currently open.
I wish it could be navigated with mouse scrolling.
I have the same complaint about the task manager with the screen previews enabled, I finally turned screen previews off as I always find it difficult to grab the little bar and have to slide it manually to find a window off to the right.
I wholeheartedly agree they really need to add a mouse scroll when hovering over the preview menu.
It’s also annoying at times to navigate with a lot of windows (browser), as if I move the arrow off of the horizontal strip with the previews, it will disappear, so I have to very carefully navigate the mouse to NOT roll off the screen. This is more challenging than it sounds when using a trackball on a 50" display, or at least is for me. I really wish there were a slight delay to keep the window up when mousing off accidentally to NOT close your selection strip.
I use the screen edge option to show on the open apps on the current desktop.
Also can scroll the app windows on the task bar with my mouse horizontal scroll option.
Thank you. I never noticed the scrollbar. This doesn’t solve my problem but helps a lot! Sadly my vertical scroll ability of my Logitech G502 doesn’t work.
