Since upgrade, I can’t configure my wacom intuos 5 touch (PTH-650) tablet buttons cause in settings doesn’t appear, and even the touchpad can’t be configured to relative.
You’re right. I have the same problem. It is not working in Wayland.
Temporary you could use X11. There is much better support for wacom.
It is mentioned earlier in Wacom pen&tablet, multimonitor, plasma 6 and Wayland: usable together?
It should be solved in Plasma 6.1 (june)
The screenshot is on X11 though. The settings module on Wayland looks vastly different
You are correct @nicolasfella I’m already on X11 cause there’s a lot of issues on Wayland for 3d art software and also pen tablets in which i work on…so, hope it really gets solved soon, thanks both of you, thought it was something faster to solve…or maybe I had something wrong…
And this is my PC:
Operating System: EndeavourOS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2
Kernel Version: 6.8.1-arch1-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz
Memory: 31.3 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB/PCIe/SSE2
Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
Product Name: H110M-S2PH
Hi! finally! using Plasma 6.1 but still with problems on Wayland with my wacom pen:
- Can’t use my tablet on my two monitors at the same time, just one at a time
- Meta won’t work for moving or scaling windows
- Won’t detect my bottom panel which hides until mouse reaches border
- Can’t configure pen buttons for inkscape (doesn’t detect middle button)
- Gimp won’t detect pen pressure sensitivity
- The mouse pointer changes position when switching between pen, pad and mouse
And those are just for now
This is the “map to multiple monitors” thing mentioned in the other thread, yes?
Holding down meta while dragging the window with a pen, correct? Is this only with certain applications?
I think you will need to file a plasmashell bug for this, I have no experience with how the dodge feature works unfortunately
This is probably an Inkscape bug. KWin should pass through the buttons as usual to applications (except when you re-assign them in the KCM)
This is definitely a GIMP bug, Krita and other applications work fine with pen pressure, tilt
I believe this is intentional for now, but separating them in the future could be something we can do. I’m not sure if there’s a bug to track this, but feel free to create one. Describing why you need this (not saying that you don’t, but nothing comes to mind to me) would help in the bug report too, please
Thanks @redstrate because some of those issues has been solved (using multiple monitors, the buttons on inkscape and the pressure sensitivity on gimp), and others remains unfortunately and new ones, so i’ve updated the problems here: Wacom tablet issue's on Wayland
Was that ok? or should i put them here? cause i thought that posting in this forum was reporting bugs…not sure where should i do that thanks.
This is a forum for discussing topics; the bug tracker is https://bugs.kde.org. Note that it’s for actual reports of actual bugs, not discussion topics.
Done, thanks
